Sitting here beside my mother in our stateroom on the Koningsdam, having breakfasted to sublime repletion, our eyes are caught by a ship sliding by ours... gotta get a picture of THAT!!
I'm grateful to be able to leap (gently) into action to answer the question: "What is that?!!" and have Mom's help in entering the right question to get the right answer - What is MV Pacific Collector (MV = Marine Vessel, according to Mom, who was born and grew up by the sea). And the answer is available for everyone who clicks to find out (...but come back!)

It would be very nice for this to be easy... (I wrote that 2 days ago after trying repeatedly to upload pictures. I continued--) First a gallery, and then a slideshow, and finally just a single picture. I'm sorry... you will need to use your imaginations... IT WORKED!! Finally. The video first, and then the picture above... and so, letting the words flow... Vancouver was sunny and bright with a harbour as still as is, literarily (as opposed to literally), remembered as a "millpond". I don't know if anyone anywhere still has the actual experience of such a thing, but you can (not) see (now you can!) in the pictures; it was very calm and beautiful... sunlight, glinting off the windows of the city, sparkling on the waters of the harbour. From that, to buffeted by swells and whitewater... This shows some of the pitching and tossing we experienced - more than would ever happen at baseball or cricket practice! Waves that reached as high as the 6th deck of our ship, and we swayed back and forth...
My Work2Day is being done from the deck of the Koningsdam, a cruiseship of the Holland America line, making its way across the ocean from North America to Hawaii. We will be at sea for 17 days. I feel I've been "at sea" for far longer than that, but the view has changed, and Mama Ocean is the one "rocking the boat"! I'm so grateful to be here now. Doing my best to radiate the vibrations of love and peace, I am BEING the change I want to see in the world. I imagine that could be seen as a way to justify what I choose to do... but I...
I've been focused on a lot of things, but not this: my personal blog. I comfort myself that I don't seem to have a lot of people hanging on my every word. Much as I'd like that to change... It's an honour to transcribe Jim Garrison's Morning Messages. I wonder at MOM, the Magic in Ordinary Moments that brought me into a position to do them. I would never have dreamed that I would do what I've done. That's the beauty of what can happen when you open yourself to MOM, and say "Yes!" to life. While I can't do all that I want (yet), from my perspective, this is a very pregnant moment... Yes, I'm using the term loosely, playing with words as I love to do... and it's good news! So let me list the "babies" that are gestating...
All that being said, I anticipate contributing more to OneWorld.Earth, the delightful group I've spent the last 3 months with -- from WUW (World Unity Week) in June, through the 99 Days of Peace Through Unity that culminated in Peace Week in September. I drove to Surrey BC for that; to meet Ben Bowler of Unity Earth, Jon and Sommer Joy Ramer of SINE Network, Gary Malkin - the musical genius, and the lovely people of HubCast Studios, joined by Dana Tomasino, energy healer, and Danielea Castell of The Listening Field and too many other people to list! I will add links to the event recordings soon, but now it's time to put this and me to bed. Thank you for reading along; this is the fun part! |
