Walking alone down a dark street, I cast a thought aloft, "I could use a little reassurance." Let me tell you how it was received... Feeling vulnerable in the wide-open darkness, my mind scanned my life and stories -- happenings that awakened me to my connection with the Divine; reasons I coined the term MOM. Irrefutable confirmation from whichever direction I want to look at it. I thought of the many people (I'm told) who don't or won't believe, or have never considered the idea that this reality we share is, as Shakespeare said, a stage; perhaps an illusion cast by the Gods. Whatever mythology you choose to believe doesn't make this experience any less practically real and true. The only way it really works is to play it with your heart, like your life depends on it (it actually does). Whatever story you choose to believe is going to be wrong to some degree, and listening to others' perspectives allows us to learn about each other. I thought about how important I believe my stories are (and the need to avoid arrogance and complacency) and my need to share my stories so others are reassured too: there's benevolent Hands on the controls, call them what we will. That's part of the challenge of being human -- agreeing on the words we call things. Some might call this a quiet peaceful walk and others might feel like you're in a situation, feeling edgy... I'm human... and I thought back to my recent Ode to Spirit of the Mosquito and the Struggle I had with it, (and the struggle I had sharing the recording) and the lack of ability to justify or excuse
inherent in the statement, "I'm just human." I want to be better than that (what I judge that to be) so much; and here I am again, feeling very human... easily forgiven, in this case. "I could use a little reassurance..." Stronger; thinking of writing, I stepped through my door, wiped my feet from my walk to the River, took off my shoes; climbed the seven steps up to the main floor and turned the corner to see 10:00pm exactly. MOM, what a surprise! I couldn't imagine a better answer to my prayer! Thank you for the reassurance. I feel even better now -- this is the kind of human I like to be!!

Today, Day 707 of Humanity Rising, was dedicated to creating a powerful response to war from the only group, it was said, who can make a difference. Hear it yourself, and listen to the AfterChat as well. Grandmother Ginger inspired me to record this Declaration. Thanks for the email, Tricia! Jim Garrison brought Anne Baring, Ph.D, Author of "The Myth of the Goddess" and "The Dream of the Cosmos", Elisabeth Williams, Founder of AWE Partners with a focus on the Rise of the Divine Feminine and Women’s Empowerment, Jude Currivan Ph.D., cosmologist, planetary healer, futurist, author of The Cosmic Hologram & The Story of Gaia, Anneloes Smitsman, Ph.D. cosmologist, planetary healer, futurist, author of the Future Humans Trilogy and David Lorimer, poet, founder of The Scientific and Medical Network to the webinar. I knew it was going to be powerful, having heard Anne and Jude before, and meeting Anneloes when I was in Rotterdam years ago. Elisabeth and David didn't disappoint either. Then, in the AfterChat, we had the pleasure of meeting Thomas Daffern, the Peace officer to the British Council of Druid Orders, among other things. I hope he will join us again. Others mentioned during the episode and their links: Mandy Kahn of Peace Piece: The Immersive Poems of Mandy Kahn; Elisabeth Williams' Awe Partners, "a social enterprise created for women who are eager to give, invest, and shop for maximum impact on the causes they care about most"; the Tiller Foundation, focused on continuing William A Tiller's great work towards helping all of us “become in tune with this great power” (intuition).; and the SDG Thought Leaders Circle offers a Unitive Narrative which includes: "A new paradigm, based on scientific breakthroughs, with evidence at all scales of existence and across numerous fields of research, is revealing a radically expanded perception of the world. It is converging with universal wisdom and spiritually-based teachings. In realizing the unified nature of reality, it calls for a collective evolutionary shift of consciousness and the emergence of an inclusive interspirituality which provides essential practices for awakening to this unitive consciousness. Central to its unitive narrative is the recognition of our interbeing; our interconnectedness, interdependence and belonging with the whole community of our planetary home, Gaia, and with the entire Universe." Thomas Daffern, mentioned above, told us about the Delphic Games, similar to the Olympic Games but focused on the Arts. Bringing them back could make a real difference, especially because you cannot compete if your country is engaged in war. Gaia’s Zoom Room felt very productive on Tuesday (6-8pm PT every Tuesday @ TheConversation.cc) An intimate group, we allowed flow to whisk us into synergistic action! First, review of a document intended to introduce, to women in Europe, the actions of KindredSpirits.Earth and Indigenous Peoples of both Ireland and the Americas... to inform them of further steps made in accordance with a prophecy. Representatives from the Union of the Condor, Quetzal, Hummingbird, and Eagle gathered in Palenque and La Ventana, Heart of the Quetzal, Chiapas, Mexico, on March 17-23, 2023. After almost 52 years since the fulfillment of the Prophecy of the Reunion of the Condor and Eagle, on July 9, 1971, at Lake Titicaca, Bolivia, the first Sacred Council of the Union of the Condor, Quetzal, Hummingbird, and Eagle was elected. This is the life’s work of Chief Phil Lane Jr. I had no idea, when I created Gaia’s Zoom Room, that they even knew him. 10 years ago I took a course from him (Indigenous Wisdom for Compassionate Living with Brother Phil Lane), and a year later, I met him (thanks MOM!) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We planted a Unity Tree together, in ceremony with visitors and other members of the Synergy Hub 1.0, an intentional community I’d come from Canada to help create. We were living in an old stone university that reminded me of the uprisings of the students in the 60s, and how I had felt left out; but here I was, living the dream – but better!
Our next task in Gaia's Zoom Room was to look at my original Our Heart Gardens (OhGs) website. This 2nd website was created so I could focus the original one on its purpose - laying out the concept, and promotion of a global network of gardens, hearts of their communities. The synergistic concept came to me over 10 years ago when I was living in the Lower Mainland of BC Canada. Working in Surrey City Hall on the Official Community Plan showed me our challenges in a unique way. Being misdiagnosed with Clinical Depression gave me further insights, and my eventual breakdown taught me much much more, and changed my life completely. But that’s not what I want to tell you about - I want to tell you about the reconstruction of the OhGs website! But, now that I think about it, maybe it’d be better if I waited until it’s closer to being ready… Can you wait? If not, no worries, it’s there – with lots of me in it! Kamloops is killing mosquitoes, in their larva stage, professing to be damaging no other species. I’ve posted on FB that I disagree. The article that informed my awareness is Mosquito predators. An apology to the Spirit of the Mosquito; please forgive us. We don’t know what we’re doing. We are a Child learning about Our environment but not aware of the consequences of our actions… Our choices… The power we have by choosing by listening and learning how it feels, acting from knowing that, by being true to our hearts desires and care for each other; honoring our selves and our words, we empower the One we are, together, to act coherently, to rise… and fly. Dear Mosquito, thank you for your buzzing example. Every one counts. One individual can make all the difference to a person, and one can lose their life if one isn’t aware. I also know that every drop of blood matters and a little poison can make others irritated. Honoured Wise One, thank you for the example you set by coming into our shared environment mostly at the same time each day so I can avoid you. I’d rather not feed you. But there will be fewer of You this year. They’ve found a way to kill just Your species – when You’re aquatic, before You develop Your bloodthirsty ways. They said it would impact no other animals… but what about the animals You feed with Your little bodies… the flycatchers with distinct markings and beautiful songs… swallows and ducks; geese and dragonflies? What will they eat? Oh, Mosquito, I think you are a keystone species. You will be missed! But not by most people… I apologize! Please forgive me /us… Thank You… I love You… You are a part of M.E. (me and Mother Earth). I know that the less diversity we have, the less resilient our ecosystem is. (What, if anything will fill your niche?) Our environment is suffering. Not that it excuses us, but Our Mama Gaia is engaged in the final stages of gestation; chaotic upheavals – labour pains. Ours is not an easy birth... neither for Her or for us! We continue to disrespect and extract from Her. Yet I imagine that we, enduring the trauma of our trip through the Tunnel of Time, are being squeezed like coal makes a diamond; into Awakening to the realization of the Divine Being we are becoming, prophesied and destined to be. Our choices and our actions weave our lifelines into yarns that hold the Magic in Ordinary Moments (MOM). Stories that lace our lives, and tat our spirits into patterns we haven’t seen. Seen as such, MOM has the power to help us feel the weave, see the pattern and work it well. Looking at where we’ve been, we see the wake we’ve left behind and the direction indicated; we bow to Her, grateful for being moved, grateful for a new opportunity; and watch for more. Your lives are very short from our perspective; very focused and very directed by inner knowing (I imagine). Single minded comes to mind… Thank you for that example. Mosquito, You are a beautiful example of how little it matters how small, or large, a body one has; with undaunted persistence, you can rise above the hazards and achieve your goals. We have stories and songs about beings like You. Dear Mosquito, it has been said that a living soul spends lifetimes in other-than-human bodies to learn the lessons of that species. Thank you for the opportunity to be a mosquito. I hope I created many babies, helping to propagate the species, consistent with my divine purpose, such as I was. I was valuable to Mother Earth; Mama Gaia "got" me! Thank you for your service. You will be missed (though, to be honest, not much by me). Needle Points - A four part series by Norman Doidge, a contributing writer for Tablet, is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and author of The Brain That Changes Itself and The Brain’s Way of Healing., was too long for me to wrap my head around. To help myself, I condensed it through snippets and thought I'd share it with You… I hope my work helps you, or it may inspire you to access Norman's original work. I encourage you to do so; it's well researched (I retained his links and added a few of my own), very well reasoned and easily read. Part 1 - Why so many are hesitant to get the COVID vaccines, and what we can do about it. For the full Needle Points" Points post, please click Read More Part II. The kernel brilliance of vaccines Part III. A new plague descends - The story of the virus, and the vaccine… Part IV. Getting Out. For the full "Needle Points" Points - Parts, please click Read More. A final quote from Norman's epic series, and the picture he offered of the writer, a statesman from a bygone era, are brought forward for your consideration: “...the tyranny unique to democracy gave rise to “the peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion” in the social sphere, in our so-called free societies." That "tyranny" moved (John Stuart Mill) to write his great plea for free speech, in On Liberty: "Protection, therefore, against the tyranny of the magistrate is not enough: there needs protection also against the tyranny of the prevailing opinion and feeling; against the tendency of society to impose, by other means than civil penalties, its own ideas and practices as rules of conduct on those who dissent from them; to fetter the development, and, if possible, prevent the formation, of any individuality not in harmony with its ways, and compel all characters to fashion themselves upon the model of its own. There is a limit to the legitimate interference of collective opinion with individual independence: and to find that limit, and maintain it against encroachment, is as indispensable to a good condition of human affairs, as protection against political despotism." NORMAN DOIDGE ends his series with: "To find that limit and maintain it becomes the difficult but essential task when a plague besets a democracy—especially one that wishes to remain in good enough condition to survive it.” I'm glad I took the time to read this series. If it helps you know more, I'm grateful. If you delve deeper into the subject by accessing the Parts &/or the original article and/or the links provided, it has done its job. I'm satisfied. Thank you for being part of this experience, though I can't tell if you've read it if you don't "like" it or make a comment. I'd love to hear what you think.
I am I and You are you. But... AND You are I to you! What's it like for you, embodying your I? One of the I's of Mother Earth... A picture I took in a magical moment and a poem I wrote when I was in grade school suggest a synergy, and so I share them here with you.
I was speaking intimately to Mother Earth, of Her beauty and Her Being within which I live, as I smoothed the sparkly sand on the beach of the Thompson River, here behind the place where my mother lives. My stream of consciousness progressed from love to wonder at the experience of life; my perception, and others'. That day, mindlessly allowing my hand to caress the sands of Mother Earth, I spoke of the One we are, altogether, coming into formation... Then I saw what my hand had drawn -- an eye looked back at me! It had formed, without my intention, by individual grains of sand being moved collectively by my hand. The way I see it, this is MOM -- the Magic in Ordinary Moments. In taking a picture I met Her gaze, and realized a greater implication... If each of us is one small grain of sand (one of many "I's"), could it be that we, collectively, are being moved by Greater Hands into a pattern we cannot see? (How?) can we help? Would our willingness to be moved allow the picture to be created more easily? More quickly? With less chaos and trauma? To allow ourselves to be moved with greater facility by Greater Hands, I suggest we look to the things that inspire us - our gifts, curiosity and imagination. That there is a Greater Intelligence behind those Greater Hands, and they're not just idly smoothing sand, is an exercise in trust; yet MOM (an indication of the Greater Intelligence) created the eye in the sand. The patterns created by humanity over time have resulted in a complexity unparalleled in our awareness. (On TV, "Earth from Space" on Knowledge Network, accompanied by photos, the announcer just said "We have been creating patterns of our own!" MOM, hahaha! I'm listening!) MOM, You have the last word! The 3rd day of Cooling Climate Chaos on Humanity Rising (HR) talked about desertification of Spain and floods in Italy; and about what it would take to change what is to what is needed. There was a lot said but one thing resonated clearly and continues to echo in my mind: SS4C School Strike for Climate. While clearly seeded by Greta Thunberg, the event of March 26 appears to have been started in Australia and Aotearoa (New Zealand), and it's spreading! Students are asking for 4 things (modified by me to reflect place/people) in the pledge offered on their site: "that you, your group, business or organization will stand with school strikers to oppose public funds being wasted on dirty gas and instead call on the Federal Government to #FundOurFutureNotGas by:
The 4th point is not in this published pledge but I think it's an excellent idea. We heard about it from Peter Bruce-Iri 2Day on Day 701 on Humanity Rising. They want the voting age lowered to 16. While they may be talking about Australia and/or Aotearoa, I feel this is an important step for the world to embrace. The world we leave will be inhabited by people currently in their teens and, by giving them the vote, we don't "hand over the keys" but acknowledge that life as we've accepted it has brought us all to the brink of a cliff. With their vitality, technological skills and hope, we can "turn this bus around". We cannot do it without their help; we need all the help we can get! Let's get them working with us, not against us!! After HR we gathered in the AfterChat as usual. Rob de Laet, Peter Bruce-Iri and Marcel de Berg joined us, as well as many of our regulars: Kurt Krueger, Leo Jacoby, Ruud West (or was that yesterday? I don't keep track!!) Once again, I was struck by the troubles with time zones. If only that was the only struggle we had... Hope and prophesy are powerful tools that help us keep a positive frame of mind while walking our Divinely designed paths in our human bodies, experiencing the gift of life. I enjoy Stanley Pokras' envisioning that holds this time to be "the dawning of the Age of Helpfulness" and it has been my unbounded pleasure to talk philosophy with Josef Princiotta when most everyone has already left. My last on-line interaction (before I started this) was at TheConversation.cc, where I open Gaia's Zoom Room on Tuesdays from 6-8pm PT (everyone is invited!) On Fridays, they hold a 24 hour Block Party (YES, everyone is invited) to talk about Food Healers (feeding people free plant-based foods), Cooling the Planet with SRM, Collective Super-Intelligence, Collective Evolution -- and Our Heart Gardens. That's a plan for the transformation of human society that works with a synergy of needs, abilities and resources within communities everywhere. When I arrived, Marco Elstermann (co-host of the Block Party) was screening a very interesting TedTalk by George Monbiot, a Guardian columnist, and the author of Feral, Regenesis and Out of the Wreckage: a New Politics for an Age of Crisis. George feels that farming is the worst thing that humanity has ever done, and he has a solution. Employing the smallest form of life that we know, bacteria, George and his team have developed a way to grow a high protein flour from hydrogen and sunshine. This is very interesting -- I think of the swathes of fields going up in flames because we have recreated the Dirty 30s... We must do better, and if we can "ferment" our flour in our communities, we can help rejuvenate Our Great Mother's flatlands. It seems like something we could do together in Our Heart Gardens... Starting with the startling idea that the Amazon Rainforest was purposefully planted, Mira Rubin of Sustainability Now treated us to 4 films 2day, about what some people call food forests or, the term I prefer: forest gardens. The first 2 films introduced the subject and described different types of cultivation currently being used (Introduction to Agroforestry with Dr. Sarah Lovell and The Foundations of Syntropic Agroforestry). We learned about the different types of information needed to create a healthy planting. The last 2 films, created 5 years apart, were about Robert and Robyn Guyton’s amazing food forest in Riverton at the bottom of New Zealand’s South Island (by Happen Films) - a luxuriant lot surrounded by a checkerboard of wide fields. Obviously free-thinking people, Robert blogs about their forest garden! It was a lovely, gentle way to invest 2 hours with new friends (and a couple I knew from the AfterChat), learning and chatting about the films, and offering our own perspectives and life experience. They do this on most Thursday nights. Click the first link above to join, and prepare your popcorn!! 2Day was the 2nd day of the 3-day series "Cooling Climate Chaos" on Humanity Rising (HR) convened by a friend of mine -- Rob de Laet. He's been on HR a few times -- we share mutual admiration, beautiful friends and our work. He allows me to cast my editor's eye over some of his work which allows me to learn while helping him share his knowledge, and that of his other friends.
One of his other friends, Marcel de Berg joined us in the AfterChat both yesterday and today. Marcel introduced A Marshall Plan to Cool the Planet Through Reforestation On Day 394 of HR. Today's talk was delivered by 82 year old Peter Bunyard, professor emeritus. Peter worked with James Lovelock and is an adept of the Gaia Theory. Peter proved the existence of the Biotic Pump function and has come out of retirement to work with Rob. Here's a couple of videos that introduce the concepts: How Green Water Cools our Planet (5 minute summary) by Green Water Cools and How Plants Cool our Planet by Jimi Sol (aka Jimi Eisenstein, son of Charles Eisenstein). It's been a great 2 days, and the 3rd should prove to be very interesting as well, with Peter Bruce-Iri from Aotearoa (New Zealand), an educator, author, researcher and climate activist. He wrote "How Plants Cool and Heal the Climate" and is currently working with Te Kahu o Taonui, a tribal collective in the north of Aotearoa. If you haven't signed up yet for your daily link to the HR Zoom, register here, and remember, the best way to attend the AfterChat is through Stan's invitation in the HR Zoom chat! See you there...! Remember the LockDown? It changed so much... One of the positive changes was Humanity Rising, a daily Zoom Webinar by Ubiquity University, hosted by Jim Garrison. Focused on solutions, and the issues that demand them, Jim began by inviting people from his "Rolodex" to tell us about their passions, awareness and expertise. As the President of a University, an author, scholar and person with opinions about what's happening, Jim created a venue for himself and others to share alternative perspectives, including Indigenous Wisdom, politics, environmental and biome regeneration ideas and proposals, spiritual and scientific concepts that underpin our reality; and the list goes on... From May to August of 2020 we met every single day. On Day 60 curiosity drove Stanley Pokras to post an invitation in the chat addressed to Everyone - come to my place... and we did. That first day 15 of us gathered in his Zoom room. The episode was titled, (though Stan didn't realize it at the time) "Connecting the Dots". That is his underlying purpose, as MOM is mine! It's delightful that both of us were given an element of fulfilment on that day, and since then "ChatPeople" (an open subset of Everyone) have gathered in the AfterChat every day of Humanity Rising, and a few others as well! In September, with the lockdown still in effect, we were grateful that Jim cut back to 5 days a week. With breaks in August and December, the AfterChat meets the challenge of 3 hours a day of diverse subjects -- and Stan creates a database archive of Humanity Rising. I am happy to work with Stan guiding and encouraging our conversations. The dedication Jim and Stan have to the projects they have committed themselves to must be admired and, I want you to know -- YOU ARE WELCOME... Register for access to Humanity Rising's Zoom Webinars. You can also watch Humanity Rising streaming live on FaceBook or dip your toes into the Humanity Rising YouTube channel, but you'll miss the comments in the Zoom Webinars' chats. We have a very active chat (that's why Stan posted his original invitation -- he wanted to meet the people behind the names he saw so often!) Stan harvests that rich resource each day and posts them on their Day Page in OtherNetworks, along with the AfterChat recording and the chat from that. Each day, in the chat of Humanity Rising, Stan posts the invitation to the AfterChat. I look forward to seeing you there! |
