DivinationsReading the Tarot for myself, and sometimes for You (the Greater I of which you and I are part), has been a source of comfort and guidance for decades. I used my first deck for 20 years. It was the small round MotherPeace deck. Then The Gaian Tarot came magically into my hands. That story ("Death, Says My Tarot Deck), and others are on YouTube. Now, I use the Fool's Dog Tarot Sampler or Gaian Tarot app on my iPad. Some doubt the efficacy of electronic divination but it works for me. The way I see it, it's not the tool you use (some shaman kill chickens and read their entrails!) it's your connection with MOM that helps you see what's in the cards. Things are (getting?) wild out there, and guidance is good when things are hairy. Offered here are dreams and readings that I've done, along with some others'. |
Question: It is the dark of the moon. Please offer Humanity some guidance to help Us find Our way. I went to choose a spread; tapped to see the description of the spread "The Coming Month" but it went directly into shuffling the cards. Apparently MOM wants to use this spread, even though we're almost half way through the month. Perhaps this is MOM's way of supporting my transition to using The Moon is My Calendar and developing my skills in planning. I bought the Journal thinking that I should "put money where my mouth is" -- I've been talking about it for a decade! Let’s see what is revealed… The top card is Overview — 4 of Wands Reversed. Following are the meaning of the cards as provided by the creators of the decks included in the Fool's Dog Tarot Sampler. I hope my reading, or your own based on the cards and/or their descriptions, support you in traversing these pivotal times...
First Week Page of Wands (Upright) ---------- Page of Wands is from The Celtic Dragon Tarot. ---------- A message that gives hope comes at a crucial time. You receive important news that relates to your job or field of studies. Some phase of your job or social activities brings you into contact with foreign countries or people. Second Week The High Priestess (Upright) ---------- The High Priestess is from The Mythic Tarot. ---------- The High Priestess augurs the heightening of the powers of intuition. There will be an encounter of some kind with the hidden inner world which Persephone rules. The individual may be drawn inexplicably to this world through an interest in the occult, through the effects of a powerful dream or the uncanny sense that ‘something’ is at work in one’s life. Thus the Fool, having learned something of his physical nature and needs and his place in the world through the Empress and the Emperor, now enters the night-world, and comes, often with confusion and bewilderment, to that silent figure who embodies Mother on another, deeper and subtler level – the womb of the unconscious in which the secret of his real purpose and the pattern of his destiny are contained. Third Week Ten of Coins (Reversed) ---------- Corresponds to Ten of Pentacles Ten of Coins is from Bonefire Tarot. ---------- Growth and fertility. The important contributions of generations and family. Nurture all alike. Live in harmony with nature. Respect for ancestors. The cycle of life and death. Fourth Week Three of Earth (Upright) ---------- Corresponds to Three of Pentacles Three of Earth is from Gaian Tarot. ---------- You are gathering in community with others to create something of lasting value. When we work together cooperatively, the final product is one of synergy — it is more than each of its separate parts. The pleasure we take in each other’s company finds its way into the medicine we are creating. Shadow side: You may have not yet found a community where you feel at home. It’s time to seek one out, or better yet, create one. Find others with mutual interests and start a gathering in your home, at a local bookstore, or community center. Reach out to others and find a community of kindred spirits. Overview Four of Wands (Reversed) ---------- Four of Wands is from The Sacred Isle Tarot. ---------- Upright: Harmony and prosperity, serenity and a happy home, all these manifest when the Four of Wands appears. Expect a celebration crowning an achievement or marking a change in status, such as a wedding or a graduation party. A happy, even idyllic, home life brings joy and peace. Reversed: Even in reversal, the Four of Wands describes happiness, heralding a short period domestic serenity, the celebration of a lesser achievement, or the reasonably successful completion of a task. This card can also foretell the welcome end to a bad marriage.
